The 2026 Hawaiian Historical Society Calendar

The theme for the 2026 Hawaiian Historical Society calendar is the various forms of transportation that have been in use in the Hawaiian Islands. Some are very much still with us today (cars), some have changed their functions (ships becoming exclusively for cargo instead of passengers), and some have disappeared entirely (streetcars, and sugar plantation trains). Incorporated with photographs from the HHS collection are examples of printed paper ephemera from the DeSoto Brown Collection which offer additional relevant historic connections to the different transportation modes that are shown.
This year the Calendar will be in full color print and includes new historical dates!
Calendars are available for purchase online for $20 plus shipping & handling. Click here to order. Discounts are available for bulk orders (25 or more) and members, please e-mail hhsoffice@hawaiianhistory.org for more details.
The creation of the Hawaiian Historical Society calendar remains a point of great pride for the organization as the only compilation of Hawai‘i
historical data edited each year and made accessible to the public. Proceeds from each calendar supports HHS’ ongoing preservation efforts for the historical material as well as future publications of this annual calendar.
