You are cordially invited to the book launch of Kahikina Kelekona’s Kaluaikoolau. The Hawaiian Historical Society’s 5th Volume in Ke Kupu Hou: The Hawaiian Language Reprint Series.
Governor Josh Green, M.D., First Lady Jaime Kanani Green, Washington Place Foundation and the Hawaiian Historical Society (HHS) will host the book launch event at Washington Place from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Aloha attire is suggested.
This event is open to the public. Please note a small registration fee of $5. All proceeds will help to support the Hawaiian Historical Society. Registration will close at midnight on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
Each guest must have confirmed registration and a form of photo identification in order to attend. Beretania Street gates will open at 5 p.m. Free parking is available at the Department of Health lot on Miller Street, across from Queen’s Emergency Center.
Attendees will enjoy a guided tour through the 175-year-old historic home of Liliʻuokalani, followed by a 6 p.m. presentation offering additional insights on the publication and a reading of one of Kelekona’s stories.
